Cozy Fest is a Jane Austen-inspired literary gathering at one of Kansas City's most beloved historic properties. Spend an afternoon among independent authors, browse artisan makers and purveyors of bookish goods, take tea at the tea bar, and settle into the Regency-inspired atmosphere — all within the walls of a landmark built in 1856. Whether you arrive in your finest bonnet or your everyday best, you are warmly welcomed here.

Event Day

Participants process their own sales and taxes, keep their booths staffed through 7 PM, and may sell only approved products. Booth fees are nonrefundable. KC Book Beat does not accept final products created solely by artificial intelligence.

Cozy Fest takes place on the historic Alexander Majors property, giving the event a sense of place that feels far more special than a convention hall.

One of Kansas City's most significant historic landmarks, the Alexander Majors House and Barn includes a beautifully preserved timber barn, the historic house, outdoor grounds, a patio, and a picnic area. The kind of setting that makes a book fair feel like it belongs inside a novel.

Is Cozy Fest free?
Cozy Fest requires a ticket from 1–5 PM. General admission is $15, and VIP admission is $50. Admission becomes free to the public from 5–7 PM. No ticket is required to enter after 5 PM.
